What is Computer?
The word 'Computer' comes from the 'compute' word.
Compute ----->To Calculate
So,the computer usually consider as calculating device.Which can perform any arithmatic operations at high speed.
The basic inovation behind the computer was to create a calculating device which can perform at high speed while in the todays scenerio the 80% of work done by computers in non-numerical in nature.
Because, of data of various size and shapes depending upon the applications the computer can store,process and retrive data as an when desired.because of these fundamental features the people started calling him 'Data Processor'.
A computer is a combination of different devices like keyboard,mouse,monitor,cpu etc.As Shown in below figure.
